If you operate a commercial kitchen
you will have duties under health and safety law to ensure the fire
risks are assessed periodically by a professional body.
Canopy Clean Limited will identify potential hazards associated with
kitchen extract ventilation, principally those created by excessive
build up of cooking oil deposits.
We will evaluate the risks, record and detail the findings we will
then advise you as to what action is necessary to reduce the risk
of a fire within your system.
Should no action be required we will provide you with the relevant
documentation to provide to your ensures. |
If you do have a fire in your kitchen and cannot provide
the insurers with evidence of extract system cleaning, then you may
not be covered. Also please bear in mind that if you do not take suitable
precautions, and in the event of personal injury or death resulting
from a fire associated with a poorly maintained system, charges of
corporate liability or manslaughter may be brought against the kitchen
operator.
